Lead Analytics Engineer

What you will do

• Set the technical direction, architecture, conventions, and engineering standards for the analytics team.
• Own the architecture of data models, semantic layers, metric definitions, governed self-service, and long-term maintainability.
• Partner with Product, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering to translate business needs into an executable roadmap and negotiate scope.
• Define data testing, business-logic validation, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and release-readiness practices.
• Lead code and design reviews, mentor engineers, and build shared understanding through documentation and technical presentations.
• Lead large-scale migrations and performance initiatives while enabling the team to execute effectively.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working with data in a software environment.
• Mastered proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Advanced experience with semantic-layer tools, data catalogs, data-integrity testing frameworks, and dbt orchestration best practices.
• Experience with relational datastores, DAG tooling such as Dagster or Airflow, dbt, and Tableau.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Terraform, plus document, graph, or schema-less datastores.
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively with deep knowledge of data systems.
