Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 CAD

What you will do

• Lead the design, validation, and launch of heat exchanger products for automotive thermal applications.
• Translate customer requirements into measurable engineering targets and robust product designs.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for major automotive OEMs including Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis.
• Manage APQP activities, DFMEAs, and DVP&Rs to ensure successful product launches.
• Conduct root cause investigations using structured methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Why analysis.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to associate engineers and student interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in automotive product development from concept through production.
• Deep understanding of heat transfer, fluid flow, and thermal management system design.
• Proficiency in automotive processes: APQP, DFMEA, DVP&R, and PPAP.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including brazing, machining, and sheet metal forming.
• Must be legally authorized to live and work in Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience working with major automotive OEMs.
• Advanced data analysis skills using Python or MATLAB.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in Ontario or eligibility to obtain it.
