What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications and microservices.
• Implement high-quality code following clean code and performance optimization best practices.
• Develop robust asynchronous systems using event-driven architecture and Apache Kafka.
• Collaborate with DevOps to containerize applications and integrate CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor and coach the team, performing code reviews and promoting engineering standards.
• Utilize AI code companions to accelerate development and maintain code quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java 17, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST Web Services.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Oracle DB, Kubernetes, and GitLab.
• Proficiency with unit testing tools such as JUnit, JMeter, and ArchUnit.
• Must be based in Romania.
• Advanced English language skills (C1).
