What you will do

• Serve as a strategic thought leader in Human Factors Engineering across multiple product programs.
• Lead human-centered design efforts for complex ecosystems integrating software, hardware, and services.
• Design and execute formative and summative usability studies to support risk analysis and design validation.
• Provide expert guidance on regulatory submissions including FDA and MDR requirements.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders in Engineering, Clinical, and Marketing to optimize human-machine interfaces.
• Direct and mentor HF teams and junior engineers across multiple platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 13+ years of experience, Master’s with 10+ years, or PhD with 7+ years.
• Deep expertise in human factors engineering, usability testing, and IEC 62366 standards.
• Proven leadership in medical device development with experience in FDA and international submissions.
• Strong track record of guiding design decisions through rigorous user research.
• Ability to influence design strategy in cross-functional and enterprise-wide settings.

Nice to have

• Experience leading human factors work for Class II or III medical devices.
• Familiarity with systems engineering, cognitive task analysis, and digital health ecosystems.
• Experience scaling user research frameworks or HF tools across an organization.
• Up to 20% travel availability.
