Staff Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco (Hybrid) or Remote (US-based). Remote employees are flown to SF 3-4 days a month.

Salary: $270k – $350k + Equity

What you will do

• Build the integration layer between product and ML, including credentials, proxy, routing, and experimentation.
• Proactively identify and resolve scaling bottlenecks before they impact the system.
• Architect and own critical platform components end-to-end.
• Improve developer experience through better abstractions and faster deployment speeds.
• Contribute to the technical direction of the platform team as it expands.

Requirements

• Proven experience rewriting services to resolve fundamental architectural flaws.
• Ability to anticipate system failures and plan architecture 12 months in advance.
• Experience building stable foundations that enable faster subsequent feature delivery.
• Passion for solving complex problems with tight constraints and edge cases.
• Must be based in the US for remote roles.
