TL;DR
Android Engineer (Kotlin/AI): Building and shipping native Android features for KIRA's AI neobank app with an accent on clean financial-service user flows, performance, reliability, and secure API integrations. Focus on developing modern Kotlin applications, improving crash rates and responsiveness, and integrating AI-assisted experiences where they improve the customer journey.
Location: Malaysia, with hybrid work from the Malaysia office at least 3 days per week

What you will do
- Build and ship native Android features for KIRA's AI neobank app using Kotlin.
- Create clear mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals, and financial services.
- Collaborate with product and design to simplify complex customer journeys.
- Integrate backend APIs and maintain stable, secure, and reliable mobile flows.
- Improve app performance, crash rates, loading states, responsiveness, and memory usage.
- Use analytics, user behavior, and production issues to improve the product and build AI-assisted experiences where they genuinely help users.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin.
- Strong Android fundamentals and experience shipping production applications.
- Experience with Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android architecture.
- Strong understanding of mobile UX, usability, edge cases, and user flows.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues.
- Strong English communication is required; English is the main working language.
Nice to have
- App links, GitHub repositories, screenshots, or examples of shipped work.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with TensorFlow Lite and on-device inference.
