TL;DR
Android Engineer (AI) (Kotlin/Jetpack): Building the native Android experience for KIRA's AI Neobank App, including insurance, payments, claims, renewals, and financial services with an accent on clean user flows, performance, and reliable mobile features. Focus on integrating REST APIs, improving crash rates and responsiveness, and building AI-assisted experiences with on-device inference where they improve the user journey.
Location: Taiwan, hybrid; work from the Taiwan office at least 3 days per week

What you will do
- Build and ship native Android features for KIRA's AI Neobank App using Kotlin.
- Create mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals, and other financial services.
- Work with product and design to simplify complex user journeys.
- Integrate backend APIs and maintain stable, secure, and reliable mobile flows.
- Improve performance, crash rates, loading states, responsiveness, and memory usage.
- Use analytics, user behavior, and production issues to improve the product, including AI-assisted experiences where they improve the user journey.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin.
- Strong Android fundamentals and experience shipping production applications.
- Knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android architecture.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues.
- Strong understanding of mobile UX, usability, edge cases, and user flows.
- Strong English communication is required; English is the main working language.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, SQL or NoSQL, and TensorFlow Lite for on-device inference.
- App links, GitHub profile, screenshots, or examples of shipped work.
