What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of robust, scalable, and secure technology solutions within the Cards IT domain.
• Translate enterprise architecture standards into specific reference architectures and patterns for card systems.
• Define and enforce non-functional requirements (NFRs) including performance, resilience, and observability.
• Drive secure-by-design practices, ensuring compliance with PCI DSS controls and data privacy.
• Lead core project delivery by removing blockers and ensuring end-to-end integrity from requirements to stabilization.
• Conduct architecture review boards and coach solution architects through design and pattern sessions.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
• Deep expertise in card systems, transaction flows, issuing, authorization, settlement, and tokenization.
• Strong experience with core banking platforms, loans, LOS, and ATM systems.
• Advanced knowledge of API-led integration (REST/GraphQL), event-driven patterns (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and microservices.
• Proficiency in container orchestration using Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience running Architecture Review Boards and enforcing standards across multiple squads.

Nice to have

• Expertise in performance engineering (TPS/latency tuning).
• Experience with resilience patterns such as circuit breakers and retries.
• Strong background in HA/DR design with specific RTO/RPO targets.
• Knowledge of SRE and advanced observability tools.
