Payment Specialist (SEPA/SWIFT)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania; hybrid schedule with four days on-site after onboarding and Wednesdays remote.

Salary: €2,200–€2,800 gross per month, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Execute and monitor domestic and international payments across SEPA, SWIFT, FX, and real-time payment rails.
• Handle SWIFT messages, payment investigations, recalls, inquiries, reversals, settlement releases, and cut-off-related issues.
• Monitor customer and pooled account balances and support settlement activities.
• Analyze failed payments, reconciliation breaks, chargebacks, and disputes.
• Support Customer Service teams and communicate with banking and payment partners on operational cases.
• Identify process and technical inefficiencies, support automation, calculate client fees, and prepare payment KPI and reconciliation reports.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in payments, reconciliation, or a similar financial role.
• Good understanding of payment operations, especially SEPA and SWIFT.
• Strong communication skills in English and Lithuanian.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues end-to-end.
• Full-time availability from the Vilnius office under the hybrid schedule.
• Comfort with routine operational work, process changes, feedback, and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience in acquiring.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of SEPA and SWIFT.
• Experience with new partner and product projects, including testing, implementation, and integration into daily operations.
