Head of Operations

Full-time/Company: Chronicle

Chronicle is the leading Proof of Asset infrastructure provider, enabling institutions to independently verify that digital assets are fully backed by real‑world collateral. The company secures over $15 billion in DeFi and tokenized assets and serves large financial institutions and digital-asset firms.

Candidates must be located in Europe.

Responsibilities:

- Manage Swiss payroll, contractor payments (via EOR) and monthly reconciliations
- Own accounts payable and receivable across fiat and crypto, including vendor invoicing and collections
- Execute multisig crypto transactions and maintain crypto-native accounting across Safes
- Prepare monthly financial reports for external accountants and board-ready documentation
- Run hiring operations: sourcing, interviews, onboarding/offboarding and HR policy upkeep
- Support ISO 27001 / SOC 2 compliance, audits and evidence collection

Requirements:

- 3+ years in an operations or finance operations role at an early-stage or high-growth startup
- Experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and vendor payments
- Comfortable with both fiat and crypto payment rails (stablecoins, multisig workflows)
- Experience running payroll across multiple jurisdictions and employment structures (direct, EOR, contractors)
- Full-cycle hiring and core HR operations experience (onboarding, offboarding, policies, documentation)
- Able to prepare financial documentation for audits, due diligence and board reporting
- Strong written communication, high attention to detail and self-directed working style

Nice to have:

- Solid Swiss or EU operating experience
- Basic German for working with local institutions and service providers
- Payroll and employment administration experience
- Experience in crypto or technology scale-ups
- Proactive in building operational systems
