TL;DR
Junior UI/UX Designer (GEOINT): Creating clear, intuitive interfaces for a modern, web-based Motion GEOINT product with an accent on data-rich workflows and user-centered design. Focus on translating complex user needs into wireframes and interactive prototypes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Location: Herndon, VA. Must be a U.S. Person (Citizen, Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee) and hold an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level.

What you will do
- Design user experiences for browser-based applications from early concepts through design handoff.
- Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
- Collaborate with UI/UX leads, product managers, and engineers to simplify complex, data-rich workflows.
- Maintain and contribute to an existing design system and web UI component library.
- Assist with user research, including research preparation, usability testing, and feedback synthesis.
- Partner with engineers during implementation to clarify design intent and adjust for technical constraints.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship with active Secret clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI and CI poly.
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in UI/UX Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in UI/UX design for web applications (including internships or projects).
- Portfolio demonstrating design process and UI/UX work.
- Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar prototyping tools.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript-based front-end environments (React, Angular, or Vue).
Nice to have
- Experience in Agile product development and familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
- Exposure to Motion GEOINT data, geospatial concepts, or mapping applications.
- Experience designing dashboards, enterprise applications, or analytical tools.
- Ability to leverage AI tools to automate routine tasks and accelerate prototyping.
