Lead Prod Dev Engineer (Plastic Product Development)

Location: Onsite at the manufacturing plant in General Escobedo, Nuevo León, Mexico

What you will do

• Lead engineering development of construction toy products from concept through production launch.
• Coordinate development activities with Product Development, Design, Quality, Packaging, Manufacturing, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
• Own Engineering Pilot and Final Engineering Pilot builds, driving issue resolution and production readiness.
• Manage prototype and production sample builds and incorporate design, engineering, and quality feedback.
• Review engineering documentation, drawings, and Bills of Materials for accuracy and completeness.
• Support tooling development, mold qualification, final product approval, and technical issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in product engineering, product development, or building set development.
• Experience leading products from concept through production.
• Knowledge of plastic part design, tooling, injection molding, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong project engineering, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering drawing or CAD tools.
• Fluent English and Spanish are required; international travel, including travel to Asia, may be required.
