What you will do

• Own the multi-quarter technical vision and roadmap for search, ranking, personalization, and recommendation systems.
• Develop and deploy enterprise-level search algorithms and recommendation engines at a global scale.
• Build applications leveraging LLMs, deep learning, transformers, generative AI, semantic search, vector databases, and RAG pipelines.
• Design and interpret A/B tests and quasi-experiments tied to business metrics.
• Mentor mid- and senior-level scientists and establish standards for modeling excellence and production readiness.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into scalable AI/ML solutions for executive-level stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Statistics, etc.).
• 10+ years of functional experience, including at least 5+ years specifically in search, recommendation, or personalization at scale.
• Proven track record of owning production search/recommendation systems with measurable business impact.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, and GCP (Big Query, Vertex AI, Gemini).
• Must be based in the United States to be eligible for the role and associated benefits.
