Salary: CAD 141,900–212,900 per year

What you will do
- Define and evolve frontend architecture for mobile applications built with React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Optimize rendering, startup time, UI responsiveness, and overall application performance.
- Design and integrate native Android and iOS modules while improving cross-platform interoperability.
- Translate user experience requirements into maintainable, performant, and accessible interfaces with product, design, and research partners.
- Establish coding standards, testing strategies, and reusable development patterns.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and guide frontend technology adoption.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience, including significant React Native or high-performance JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in native Android development with Kotlin, Java, and Gradle, including shipping applications to Google Play Store.
- Strong frontend performance profiling, optimization, and debugging skills.
- Deep understanding of cross-platform architecture and JavaScript-to-native module bridges.
- Experience delivering production-quality mobile or desktop applications, designing scalable frontend architectures, and providing technical leadership.
Nice to have
- Experience building social, community, gaming, or other consumer products.
- Familiarity with VoIP, call dialing, and ringing flows in Android or React Native.
- Experience with accessibility, internationalization, UI testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, or modern frontend build systems.
- Previous early-stage startup or zero-to-one product experience.
