Android Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Malaysia, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Hybrid role requiring work from the Malaysia office at least 3 days per week.

What you will do

• Build and ship native Android features for the AI Finance Agent using Kotlin.
• Create clear mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals, and other financial services.
• Collaborate with product and design to simplify complex user journeys.
• Integrate backend APIs and maintain stable, secure, and reliable mobile flows.
• Improve performance, crash rates, loading states, responsiveness, and memory usage.
• Use analytics, user behavior, and production issues to improve the product and build AI-assisted experiences where they improve the user journey.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Android development experience with Kotlin.
• Strong Android fundamentals and experience shipping production applications.
• Knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android architecture.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues.
• Strong understanding of mobile UX, usability, edge cases, and user flows.
• Strong English communication is required; English is the main working language across global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose, SQL or NoSQL, and TensorFlow Lite for on-device inference.
• App links, GitHub profiles, screenshots, or examples of shipped work.
