What you will do
- Build and ship Android features using Kotlin for insurance, payments, claims, and financial services.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to simplify and optimize complex user journeys.
- Integrate backend APIs to ensure mobile flows are stable, secure, and reliable.
- Improve app performance, focusing on crash rates, loading states, responsiveness, and memory usage.
- Develop AI-assisted mobile experiences that genuinely improve the user journey.
- Utilize analytics and user behavior data to drive iterative product improvements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin.
- Strong knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android architecture.
- Proven track record of shipping production apps and integrating REST APIs.
- Must be based in Japan.
- Strong English communication skills (C1) as the primary working language.
- High ownership and strong attention to mobile UX, usability, and edge cases.
Nice to have
- Experience with TensorFlow Lite for on-device inference.
- Portfolio, GitHub, or concrete examples of previously shipped work.
