The Exploration Company is developing Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle capable of carrying cargo and potentially humans.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of engineers across thermal, structural, CFD, and CAD functions.
• Make and approve critical design decisions for propulsion feed and pressure systems.
• Oversee steady-state and transient thermal analyses to ensure compliance across all mission phases.
• Direct mechanical design and utilize FEA to verify structural margins and fatigue life.
• Define and enforce CAD standards, model maturity gates, and manage the engineering master model and BOM.
• Coordinate with Systems Engineering and Vehicle Design to manage critical subsystem interfaces.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in propulsion system design for launch vehicles or spacecraft.
• Deep expertise in liquid propulsion architectures.
• Proven track record of managing engineering teams in fast-paced hardware-delivery environments.
• Proficiency in thermal analysis (Thermal Desktop, ANSYS) and structural analysis (NASTRAN).
• Strong familiarity with CAD environments such as CATIA or NX.
• Willingness to work onsite in Bordeaux, France.
