What you will do

• Run day-to-day SOC operations: monitor, detect, and respond to security threats across managed client environments.
• Lead and manage the SOC analyst team in Kuala Lumpur, including shift resourcing, performance reviews, coaching, and escalation handling.
• Investigate and respond to incidents using EDR/SIEM and other security tools; execute containment, mitigation, and remediation.
• Tune detection rules and automate workflows to improve detection accuracy; perform in-depth log analysis.
• Conduct threat hunting and integrate threat intelligence into detection and response efforts.
• Own incident reporting and documentation (timelines, analysis, mitigation, lessons learned) and act as second-line escalation for on-shift analysts.

Requirements

• Work authorization: must have permission to work in Malaysia by the start of employment.
• 3+ years of experience in a SOC or cybersecurity operations role, with demonstrated team leadership/supervisory experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise with EDR and SecOps toolsets, including configuring and leveraging them for detection and response.
• Proven line management experience (performance management, coaching, developing analysts) ideally within a SOC environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences; able to vet and quality assure incident reports.
• Investigative mindset with comfort solving problems with limited information; knowledge of cyber threat actors, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
