What you will do

• Identify data gaps and resolvable local unmet medical needs (UMNs) through systematic literature search and expert insights.
• Lead the development and execution of Japan VEO Plans, including efficacy, safety, epidemiology, and real-world status assessments.
• Manage the implementation of Company Sponsored Studies (CSS) in compliance with GCP and local Japanese laws.
• Develop high-quality health economic strategies and cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA) reports to maintain NHI pricing.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Global Medical Strategy, and external stakeholders to disseminate data and facilitate publications.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with external experts and medical vendors (CROs, agencies).

Requirements

• Must be based in Tokyo, Japan.
• Master's degree in a scientific discipline (PhD, PharmD, or MD highly preferred).
• MD holders must possess an active medical license to practice medicine in Japan.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industries within a global setting, specifically in Japan.
• At least 5 years of experience in evidence generation across various drug development phases.
• Native-level fluency in Japanese and high-level business fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Possession of an HTA certificate.
• Board certification in pulmonology, bacterial infection, cardiology, or allergy/immunology.
• Experience with systematic reviews, meta-analysis, and the Delphi method.
• Familiarity with analysis software like TreeAge.
• Experience developing disease diagnosis algorithms using AI.
