Senior CloudOps Engineer (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes)

TL;DR

Senior CloudOps Engineer (AWS/GCP/Kubernetes): Designing and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP environments with an accent on Kubernetes orchestration and AI-driven automation. Focus on building high-availability systems, optimizing observability with Prometheus and Grafana, and integrating AI agents into CI/CD and observability workflows.

Location: Hybrid in La Paz, Bolivia (3 days/week in office). Fully remote arrangement may be considered for candidates not based in La Paz, but authorization to work in Bolivia is required.

What you will do

• Architect and scale cloud infrastructure across AWS (EKS, EC2, VPC) and GCP (GKE, Compute Engine) to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
• Design and operate Kubernetes solutions for stateless and stateful workloads, managing advanced networking and service meshes.
• Implement advanced monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and Open Telemetry to develop business-level metrics.
• Manage and scale production databases including MongoDB, Redis, and MySQL across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Develop IaC and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins to standardize multi-cloud operations.
• Integrate AI-driven DevOps tools, including MCP servers and AIOps practices for anomaly detection and automated remediation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in CloudOps, DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS and GCP, specifically managing EKS and GKE.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Ability to manage production databases (MongoDB, Redis, MySQL) and implement SSO/federation standards (OAuth, SAML, OIDC).
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Must provide authorization to work in Bolivia and a Police Clearance Certificate.

Nice to have

• Expertise with Helm and Kubernetes automation across EKS/GKE.
• Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI agents into CI/CD and observability workflows.
• Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect, CKA, CKAD).
