What you will do

• Develop and operate billing systems handling customer billing, partner onboarding, and revenue flow.
• Build reusable software components and architect scalable systems for complex commerce applications.
• Model customer hierarchies and manage subscription lifecycles and consumption-based billing.
• Integrate tax and payment systems and process billing events.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Finance, and Salesforce operations.
• Lead technical efforts and provide guidance to peer developers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in designing scalable enterprise backend solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Python.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and relational databases.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and messaging brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Understanding of security concepts like OAuth and API-driven design.
• Must be based in the UK.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Salesforce or similar large CRM systems.
• Familiarity with API-first development and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Experience working in a global environment across multiple time zones.
