What you will do
- Provide technical support for gear manufacturing and inspection to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Design hobs, cutters, and grinding wheels using UTS Gear Engineering software and CAD.
- Develop and maintain NC programs for gear hobbers, shapers, grinders, and inspection machines.
- Implement new manufacturing methods using DFMA and optimize machine speeds and feed rates.
- Manage the gear-cutting tool catalog and facilitate product design improvements through the RFPD system.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and oversee the acceptance testing for new machine tool procurement.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Milwaukee, WI.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or Associate's with Journeyman status/10 years experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional gear manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency in UTS Software, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills for collaboration between engineering and manufacturing teams.
