Treasurer - EMEA (Fintech)

Location: Cape Town, South Africa; hybrid workplace.

What you will do

• Manage daily liquidity positions and cash balances across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
• Prepare and analyze daily cash flow forecasts and ensure adequate funding for assigned markets.
• Execute merchant, vendor, and intercompany settlements through banking platforms and payment systems.
• Manage surplus cash, foreign exchange exposures, FX execution, and treasury transactions while maintaining risk controls.
• Perform SOX controls and treasury governance activities in line with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
• Automate, simplify, and scale treasury processes; support systems implementations, integrations, and optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline is essential.
• 4–7 years of treasury experience within banking, fintech, or financial services.
• Experience managing liquidity across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
• Experience supporting high-volume payment operations and cross-border payment flows.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, liquidity management, cash forecasting, and treasury operations.
• Knowledge of foreign exchange markets, currency exposure management, and FX settlement processes.
• Experience using multiple banking platforms and payment portals.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, operational excellence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong process orientation and a continuous improvement mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience within a multinational organization.
• Experience within a fintech or payments environment.
• Experience with Treasury Management Systems such as Kyriba, FIS, GTreasury, or similar.
