What you will do
- Manage and support enterprise mainframe storage environments.
- Perform storage allocation, migration, optimization, and capacity monitoring.
- Implement backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Support storage-related projects, upgrades, and complex incident resolution.
- Develop storage standards and best practices, perform root cause analysis, and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- 7–15+ years of mainframe infrastructure experience and 5+ years in storage administration and support.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of catalog maintenance, performance tuning, DFSMS, DFHSM, DFSMSdss, IDCAMS, VSAM, and SMS policy management.
- Experience with GDPS, storage replication, disaster recovery methodologies, capacity planning, IBM DS8000 Storage, IBM zSeries storage architecture, and tape management systems.
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
Nice to have
- Storage automation and performance analysis tools experience.
- Knowledge of cloud and hybrid storage concepts and z/OS infrastructure.
- IBM Storage certifications.
