Senior Site Reliability Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Remote in Brazil

Salary: $7,000–$12,000 gross USD per month

What you will do

• Architect, design, upgrade, and build scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes, AWS, RDS, and distributed systems patterns.
• Drive reliability, recoverability, scalability, capacity planning, benchmarking, and stress testing across infrastructure and services.
• Define and enforce SLAs, alerts, anomaly detection, observability, and operational standards.
• Build consistency across a distributed microservices architecture while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Lead AI enablement and automation efforts for infrastructure reliability, developer productivity, and internal tooling.
• Mentor engineers, establish engineering best practices, and translate business goals into technical roadmaps.

Requirements

• 12+ years of professional software or infrastructure engineering experience, including significant SRE and backend experience.
• Strong Golang proficiency and experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Expertise with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema and query optimization at scale.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, stream processing, queues, and transactional outbox patterns.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS infrastructure, especially Aurora RDS for MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with data engineering, pipelines, and data warehousing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized microservices deployed in Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AI developer tools such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, or Cursor.
• Experience shipping commercial APIs and data-driven applications in high-growth environments.
