What you will do

• Shape the editorial direction and set the daily news agenda for the station.
• Prioritize stories and respond to breaking news with confident, compliant decision-making under pressure.
• Develop and maintain high-value source networks to support original and exclusive journalism.
• Lead news gathering and live output workflows across broadcast, digital, social, and podcast platforms.
• Mentor presenters, producers, and researchers to embed editorial best practices.
• Implement audience-focused editorial strategies to grow reach and strengthen brand trust.

Requirements

• Substantial senior experience in news, current affairs, speech radio, or audio production.
• Expert editorial judgment and an authoritative understanding of media law and regulatory obligations.
• In-depth knowledge of Irish current affairs and public debate.
• Proven track record in leading news gathering and live output workflows.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Must be based in Ireland (or eligible to work in Ireland) due to hybrid requirements.
