Java Developer (Fintech)

Senior Java Developer (Java/AWS): Developing on-prem and cloud software to capture trading transactions and calculate positions for a large asset management fund with an accent on real-time data processing and Middle Office transformation. Location: Remote from Spain, Georgia, Serbia, Poland, Cyprus, Portugal, or Armenia. Hybrid model available for those based in Kraków or Limassol.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize software to capture trading transactions and calculate fund positions.
• Advance the Middle Office transformation initiative to provide real-time views of P&L and performance.
• Build complex, distributed, large-scale, and data-intensive financial systems.
• Collaborate closely with hedge fund business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Create standardized interfaces for technology teams to access accurate financial information.

Requirements

• Must reside in Spain, Georgia, Serbia, Poland, Cyprus, Portugal, or Armenia.
• 8+ years of programming experience, with at least 5+ years in Java (Core and multithreading).
• Expertise in SQL and Database query optimization.
• Experience with Kafka or other real-time messaging systems.
• Experience with distributed caching technologies like Memcached or Ignite.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge in financial domains (transactions, positions, P&L, performance management).
• Proficiency in Python.
