Analytical Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Warsaw, Poland, with an office-centric hybrid schedule. Standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; working from home on Wednesdays is generally available, while Friday arrangements depend on the role.

Salary: 36,600–41,600 PLN gross per month, plus potential equity and other compensation components.

What you will do

• Lead, hire, coach, and develop a team of Analytical Engineers while setting standards for data-model quality and stakeholder trust.
• Own the Gold layer and semantic-layer strategy across business domains, including curated data models, canonical metrics, dashboards, and Genie spaces.
• Build trusted, versioned data products with clear ownership, delivery cadence, and service-level agreements.
• Enable self-serve analytics by governing Gold tables, metric definitions, and metadata for Claude and Databricks Genie.
• Partner with Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Infrastructure, and business teams on data contracts, SLAs, prioritization, automation, and deprecation decisions.
• Manage team capacity, run-rate, and cost while making build-versus-buy and prioritization trade-offs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing or leading Analytical Engineers, Data Engineers, or Analysts.
• Advanced SQL, data modeling, semantic-layer design, and dbt or equivalent framework experience.
• Experience with modern warehouse or lakehouse platforms; Databricks is preferred.
• Demonstrated success shipping governed Gold tables, canonical metrics, semantic layers, and other trusted data products.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into roadmaps and explain technical trade-offs.
• Sound judgment in prioritization, sunsetting low-value work, and managing data cost and run-rate.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI-native analytics, NL2SQL, Unity Catalog, Looker or LookML, and reverse-ETL or activation platforms.
• Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, including Claude and Databricks Genie.
