What you will do

• Tune and evolve security controls like SAST, SCA, and secret scanning within CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify and reduce AWS and infrastructure-as-code misconfigurations at scale.
• Facilitate practical threat-modelling sessions for new products and architectural changes.
• Build automation and tooling to reduce manual effort and improve risk visibility.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to embed security into design and operational practices.
• Mentor security engineers and potentially provide line management.

Requirements

• Strong practical experience in both application and cloud security.
• Hands-on AWS security experience, including misconfiguration remediation.
• Experience improving vulnerability management at scale across engineering teams.
• Proficiency in scripting or building tools, ideally using Python.
• Experience integrating security tooling into CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to influence technical teams and leaders without relying on gatekeeping.

Nice to have

• Experience leveraging AI for AppSec and CloudSec.
• AWS Certified Security – Speciality or equivalent.
• Expertise in Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with Splunk or similar SIEM platforms.
• Background in incident management or response.
