Salary: €3,059 – €3,881 gross per month

What you will do

• Investigate critical impurity elements in martensitic stainless steels and their origins.
• Analyze how tramp elements accumulate through recycling loops.
• Explore the effects of impurities on microstructure evolution and material performance.
• Examine and develop strategies to mitigate negative effects of recycled steel impurities.
• Collaborate with leading industrial partners in a multidisciplinary academic environment.
• Contribute to the academic community through guest lectures and co-supervision of students.

Requirements

• MSc degree in Materials Science, Solid-state Physics, Materials Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Solid background in metal science and experience with microstructural characterization.
• Proven experience in writing scientific reports.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills (C1 level).
• Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands.
• Motivation to work in an international, academic-industrial team.
