What you will do

  • Lead business risk and controls activities for the savings business, including risk and control self-assessments, control assurance, resilience, continuity and incident management.
  • Establish a risk management cadence and ensure risks remain within the required business appetite.
  • Develop strategies for managing regulatory and operational risk in collaboration with second- and third-line risk teams.
  • Lead a small team of risk professionals and support business leadership in maintaining effective controls.
  • Conduct control testing, risk assessments and policy compliance audits, identifying gaps and emerging risks.
  • Prepare risk and compliance dashboards, develop training materials, and support corrective action plans across customer support and business teams.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in risk management and control testing, ideally in a first-line function.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational risk in a regulated environment and retail banking products and regulations.
  • Understanding of EU and Irish retail banking regulations, regulatory policies and legal requirements.
  • Strong analytical, planning, organizational, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with strong attention to detail.
  • Degree in Finance or a related field preferred, plus the ability to understand wider digital business architecture.
