What you will do

• Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform and Ansible for multi-environment deployments.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions to automate infrastructure provisioning and policy enforcement.
• Administer and optimize virtualization platforms including Nutanix, KVM, and VMware vSphere.
• Support hybrid cloud operations across AWS and Azure using automation-first and GitOps workflows.
• Monitor infrastructure health using observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
• Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews to foster an automation-first culture.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Cork or Dublin, Ireland
• 5–8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on automation.
• Expert proficiency in Terraform and solid experience with Ansible.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Production-level experience with virtualization platforms like Nutanix, KVM, or VMware.
• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms and GitOps workflows.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud services.
• Experience with policy-as-code frameworks like OPA or Sentinel.
• Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Exposure to infrastructure security and compliance frameworks.
