Security Engineer (SIEM Integrations): Designing, developing, and maintaining out-of-the-box data connectors for a next-gen SIEM platform with an accent on data ingestion pipelines, log normalization, and security event processing. Focus on building scalable integrations for third-party security products, troubleshooting complex ingestion issues, and leveraging AI to streamline security workflows.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to New York, NY (Hybrid: 2 days/week on-site)

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain data connectors and parsers for third-party security products.
• Set up and manage lab environments to validate connectors and troubleshoot ingestion issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define logging, error handling, and data normalization standards.
• Research and implement best practices for ingesting logs from firewalls, EDR, cloud security, and identity platforms.
• Provide on-call support for critical data ingestion incidents and production issues.
• Write high-quality technical documentation for integration methods and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity and SIEM integrations.
• Experience developing data connectors for platforms like Splunk, Sentinel, Exabeam, or QRadar.
• Proficiency in Python or Go.
• Knowledge of security data formats (Syslog, CEF, LEEF, JSON, XML) and normalization schemas.
• Experience with log processing tools (Cribl, LogScale) and cloud-native logging (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Must be eligible to undergo and pass background and fingerprint checks for government customers.
