UI Designer (AI)

Location: Japan, Tokyo; hybrid work from the Japan office at least 3 days per week

What you will do

• Design polished, user-centric interfaces for mobile and web products.
• Turn product requirements into wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Build intuitive experiences for insurance, payments, claims, investments, and other financial services.
• Maintain and evolve the design system across products.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver accurate, pixel-perfect implementations.
• Improve usability through user feedback, analytics, usability testing, accessibility, and responsive design.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience designing digital products, especially mobile applications.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design, interaction design, and UI craftsmanship; a portfolio is required.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, prototyping, and modern design workflows.
• Strong understanding of mobile-first principles, iOS and Android platform guidelines, responsive layouts, UX principles, and information architecture.
• Ability to simplify complex user journeys and communicate design rationale clearly.
• Strong English communication skills are required; English is the primary working language.

Nice to have

• Experience with FigJam, design systems, interactive prototyping, Auto Layout, components, and design tokens.
