Focus on collaborating with cross-functional teams, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and utilizing advanced software tools to estimate costs based on early engineering concepts.

Location: Must be able to report to the local office in Warren, Michigan (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

What you will do

• Generate detailed material cost estimates including piece price and production tooling.
• Analyze and validate component costs and targets for vehicle programs.
• Collaborate with product engineering, purchasing, and global joint venture partners.
• Identify and propose accurate cost reduction strategies.
• Estimate high-level costs based on early engineering concepts using specialized software.
• Work with leading-edge automotive technologies and propulsion systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Three years of experience as a Cost Estimator or Cost Engineer.
• Comprehensive knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and financial evaluation.
• Experience with interior cockpit manufacturing processes such as injection molding and decorative trim.
• Proficiency in TcPCM quoting software and Power BI/Data Analytics.
• Must be able to work on-site in Warren, Michigan, per the hybrid policy.
