Python Developer (Generative AI / RAG)

Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Vienna, Austria (Hybrid: 2 days/week on-site)

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable Python backend services and AI-driven solutions.
• Develop and optimize complete RAG pipelines, including document parsing, chunking, and embedding strategies.
• Integrate vector databases and manage retrieval and reranking mechanisms.
• Implement prompt construction, context management, and LLM integration for reliable answer generation.
• Collaborate with AI architects and data scientists to integrate AI applications into existing cloud and system landscapes.
• Ensure system reliability through automated testing, logging, monitoring, and observability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Python software development.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing RAG solutions and LLM applications.
• Strong understanding of vector databases (e.g., Qdrant, Weaviate, Pinecone) and RAG frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Must be available for a hybrid role in Vienna, Austria.
• Very good written and spoken English skills.
• Degree in computer science, data science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in the telecommunications sector.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with MLOps/LLMOps and AI governance.
• Familiarity with knowledge graphs or agent-based AI systems.
