What you will do

• Provide site-wide mechanical engineering leadership and technical assurance for manufacturing assets.
• Support asset integrity programs, pressure equipment compliance, and risk-based decision making.
• Lead complex mechanical investigations, defect elimination, and root cause analysis activities.
• Contribute to design reviews, engineering changes, and management of change processes.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Capital Project teams to deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Ensure alignment with legislative, regulatory, and internal technical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience in dairy, food, chemical, energy, or regulated process industries.
• Experience in asset integrity, reliability engineering, and lifecycle asset management.
• Strong understanding of pressure equipment compliance and New Zealand legislative requirements.
• Demonstrated ability in failure investigations and root cause analysis.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or progress towards chartership is highly valued.
