AI Enablement Engineer (AI): Building and scaling AI-powered workflows across company functions with an accent on agentic systems, internal tools, and AI fluency. Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA). Must be based in the Bay Area (office Monday-Thursday)

Salary: $180K – $260K + Equity

What you will do

• Define and drive the company-wide AI enablement strategy across engineering, operations, clinical, and finance teams.
• Build bespoke agents, background workflows, and internal tools to solve operational and clinical problems.
• Create reusable playbooks, prompt libraries, and reference architectures for self-service AI adoption.
• Establish shared context and knowledge systems to ground AI tools in internal documentation and data.
• Design evaluation sets and benchmarks to ensure AI output quality, safety, and reliability.
• Lead trainings, hackathons, and office hours to build AI fluency and productivity across the organization.

Requirements

• Proficiency in building production-quality software with Python or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, tool calling, AI agents, and structured outputs.
• Experience building internal tools, developer productivity tooling, or agentic systems.
• Ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD, testing, and production release processes.
• Must be located in the Bay Area to support the hybrid office schedule (Monday-Thursday).

Nice to have

• Experience operating at Senior or Staff level, driving technical decisions across multiple teams.
• Background with healthcare data, PHI, and HIPAA-aware workflows.
• Track record of teaching or conducting technical workshops and talks.
• Experience working in a high-growth startup environment.
