What you will do
- Execute the Compliance Monitoring Programme, including reviews, remediation tracking, and reporting to the Board.
- Deputize for the MLRO and Head of Compliance in assessing and reporting suspicious activities to the MFSA.
- Review client-facing marketing materials to ensure alignment with MiFID II and financial promotion rules.
- Oversee the end-to-end complaints handling process and escalate recurring issues.
- Design and maintain internal compliance manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Liaise with regulators, law enforcement, and internal cross-functional teams to embed effective compliance frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law, finance, or business administration.
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles within financial services, fintech, or crypto.
- Proven experience dealing directly with regulators and auditors.
- Sound understanding of the MFSA regulatory framework, MiFID II, and EU financial services regulation.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex compliance initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
