TL;DR

Location: Must be based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti

What you will do

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the Country Director and Senior Management Team on humanitarian access and security matters.
  • Provide structured mentoring and coaching to the HASS Manager to build local leadership capacity.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based humanitarian access strategies and security risk management systems.
  • Conduct actor mapping and facilitate engagement with communities, authorities, and civil society actors.
  • Provide technical quality assurance for security plans, SOPs, and incident reporting systems.
  • Support emergency preparedness planning, including contingency and business continuity measures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in humanitarian access, safety, or security risk management in complex and volatile environments.
  • Professional fluency in English and French required; Haitian Creole is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience advising senior leadership and designing security risk management systems.
  • Strong background in coaching, mentoring, and capacity strengthening for national staff.
  • University degree in Security Management, International Relations, Humanitarian Affairs, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of humanitarian principles and gender security management.

  • Experience in health programming.
  • Existing professional contacts and networks in Haiti.
