TL;DR
Progress Co-ordinator (Nuclear): Managing the accurate capture, validation, and reporting of installation progress for NSSS piping and mechanical works on the Hinkley Point C project with an accent on data integrity and alignment with project controls. Focus on identifying critical path deviations, ensuring audit readiness, and coordinating between construction, QA/QC, and planning teams.

Location: Must be based in Bridgwater, UK (Onsite)

What you will do

  • Monitor and validate installation status of NSSS mechanical and piping activities against the Level 4 programme.
  • Ensure progress data reflects verified physical completion and quality sign-off rather than assumptions.
  • Identify and communicate deviations from the critical path to the Planning and Project Controls teams.
  • Maintain robust, auditable records of progress to withstand internal and client scrutiny.
  • Support the integration of emergent works into existing programme baselines.
  • Produce structured progress reports including percentage complete, delay analysis, and look-ahead risks.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in Bridgwater, UK.
  • Proven experience in project controls, planning, or progress reporting on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and advanced Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Understanding of piping/mechanical installation sequences, welding, and NDT processes.
  • Ability to interpret Level 3, 4, and 5 programmes and translate scope into measurable progress.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with construction, engineering, and QA/QC teams.

Nice to have

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Controls.
  • Experience in nuclear, oil & gas, or other highly regulated sectors.
  • APM or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Knowledge of nuclear quality standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and delay analysis techniques.
