What you will do

• Build and ship high-quality Android features for Proton Pass, Payments, and VPN.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define and implement premium user experiences.
• Develop maintainable, scalable, and testable mobile architectures using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Integrate Android applications with a platform-independent Rust logical core.
• Mentor other engineers to raise the overall technical bar within the team.

Requirements

• Extensive experience shipping high-quality Android apps using Kotlin.
• Strong proficiency with Jetpack Compose and modern Android development practices.
• Experience taking end-to-end ownership of features from design to delivery.
• Deep understanding of performance, concurrency, multithreading, and memory management.
• Must be based in or work from the Barcelona office (Onsite).

Nice to have

• Experience with privacy, security, encryption, or offline-first architectures.
• Knowledge of Rust.
