What you will do

• Develop and ship high-quality Android experiences for Proton’s product teams (Inbox, Proton Account, Lumo, Meet).
• Own features end-to-end: scoping, technical design, delivery, and iteration.
• Build maintainable, scalable, and testable mobile architectures across large codebases.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineers to define and raise the bar for “great” experiences.
• Work on performance, concurrency, multithreading, and mobile memory management.
• Contribute to privacy/security-related capabilities, including offline-first and sync-related systems.

Requirements

• Location: Based in the Paris office
• Extensive experience building and shipping Android applications using Kotlin.
• Strong experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android development practices.
• Experience with end-to-end feature ownership from scoping and technical design through delivery and iteration.
• Strong understanding of performance, concurrency, multithreading, and mobile memory management.
• Experience building scalable mobile systems (e.g., caching, network usage, responsiveness, offline behavior).
