What you will do

• Collaborate with art directors, copywriters, and cross-functional partners to develop creative concepts and motion solutions.
• Translate scripts and ideas into style frames, storyboards, and final animated experiences.
• Create 2D animations, kinetic typography, and visual effects using illustrations and photography.
• Develop and optimize motion graphics and video content for various digital platforms and user experiences.
• Integrate audio, music, and voice elements to ensure cohesive visual storytelling.
• Ensure all motion assets adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all creative outputs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Motion Designer in an agency, studio, or in-house environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in motion design, animation, and interaction design.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Framer, Adobe XD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Advanced experience with Adobe After Effects for animation and motion graphics.
• Experience using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to prepare assets for animation.
• Must be based in Canada (British Columbia or Ontario).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of 3D design and animation tools.
• Familiarity with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
