Location: Remote within Ireland or Hybrid in Cork

What you will do
- Develop embedded software and firmware for storage systems and flash-based performance enhancement solutions.
- Analyze and define software requirements, design technical architectures, and implement scalable solutions.
- Perform integration, testing, debugging, and performance optimization of firmware.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver new platforms and features.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems, hardware-oriented software, and low-level driver development.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
- Proficiency with Linux, FreeBSD, or other UNIX-based operating systems.
- Must be based in Ireland (eligible for remote work in IE or hybrid in Cork).
- Experience with Git/GitHub and implementing DevOps/CI/CD practices.
Nice to have
- Experience with platform management technologies like IPMI, Redfish, and Swordfish.
- Familiarity with x86 architectures, NVRAM, Flash, and networking hardware.
- Knowledge of storage interconnects such as SATA, SAS, PCIe, and NVMe.
- Experience with hardware interfaces including RS-232, I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, and Ethernet.
