Location: Australia, Singapore, or Japan (must be based in one of these countries to embed with customer teams)

What you will do

• Lead discovery with customer engineers to identify bottlenecks and define clear success metrics.
• Design and build Cursor-powered workflows, including large-scale refactors, migrations, and PR review loops.
• Develop rapid first versions and harden them into reliable production systems with monitoring and rollout plans.
• Own production quality by managing tracing, evals, metrics, and debugging model behavior.
• Collaborate with Staff, Platform, and Engineering leaders to communicate tradeoffs and results.
• Convert custom-built solutions into reusable patterns to improve the core Cursor product.

Requirements

• Must be based in Australia, Singapore, or Japan to embed directly with customers.
• Proven experience building and owning AI-native workflows in production, including debugging real-world model failures.
• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Ability to own the full stack, including frontend, backend, infra, and prompt iteration.
• Experience with production reliability, metrics, alerts, and safe rollout strategies.
• Capability to turn ambiguous, fuzzy problems into clear scopes and shipped systems.
