Senior Principal System Engineer (Semiconductors)

What you will do

• Define system architecture for voltage translators and signal chain interface products to ensure robust performance across various environments.
• Identify emerging market trends and translate them into new product opportunities and long-term roadmaps.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable technical specifications.
• Collaborate with design, verification, and test teams on power, area, and cost trade-offs.
• Drive system-level optimization, risk management, and technical decision-making.
• Perform silicon bring-up, validation, and characterization to ensure compliance with system requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in system-level semiconductor design, specifically in analog/mixed-signal or interface products.
• Proven ability to translate market needs into manufacturable technical solutions.
• Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up, validation, and lab-based system debugging.
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers in project settings.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite at the headquarters in Nijmegen.

Nice to have

• Experience in Automotive, Industrial, or High-Volume Consumer Electronics applications.
• Knowledge of high-speed board design, signal integrity, and transmission line behavior.
• Familiarity with simulation tools such as ADS, SPICE, or equivalent.
• Understanding of communication interfaces including I2C, I3C, and SPI.
