What you will do

• Lead error-proofing strategy for manufacturing processes to prevent mis-builds.
• Translate PFMEA and DFMEA outputs into actionable error-proofing requirements and detection criteria.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Vision, Controls, and Quality to deploy plant-floor solutions.
• Verify pass/fail logic, scanners, vision systems, and attribute gages perform as intended.
• Maintain master lists and support validation, bypass controls, and reaction plans.
• Coach junior engineers on implementation, troubleshooting, and launch support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 7+ years of manufacturing experience, with 3+ years in error-proofing implementation.
• Strong background in PLCs, HMI development, and controls hardware integration.
• Working knowledge of machine vision, barcode verification, sensors, and torque interlocks.
• Experience with PFMEA, DFMEA, and production launch support.
• Must be able to work onsite in Warren, Michigan.
