Linux & HPC Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Onsite in Athens or Thessaloniki, Greece.

What you will do

• Administer and optimize HPC workload scheduling for compute-intensive jobs.
• Manage and tune Linux-based storage systems and backup/disaster-recovery processes.
• Design and operate segmented network architectures including routing separation and VRFs.
• Maintain strong access-control, IAM, group policies, and MFA/SSO integrations.
• Implement system hardening, monitoring, logging, and vulnerability remediation.
• Automate builds, provisioning, and configuration using modern IaC tools.

Requirements

• RHCE certification or equivalent hands-on expertise with enterprise Linux.
• Experience with at least one HPC scheduler in production environments.
• Strong background in Linux storage, filesystem management, and NFS troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of network segmentation, VRFs, and isolated/air-gapped network operations.
• Solid understanding of identity management and privileged-access controls.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Ansible, Bash, Python).

Nice to have

• Experience supporting engineering, scientific, or simulation workloads.
• Exposure to license-managed toolchains or multi-tenant environments.
• Background in external audits or regulated environments.
• Experience with enterprise backup/DR solutions.
