TL;DR

Data Engineer II (FinOps): Building and optimizing automated data pipelines and visualization solutions for cloud and AI resource efficiency with an accent on cost optimization and tech metrics. Focus on developing near real-time ELT/ETL processes, implementing AI/ML for anomaly detection, and driving global technology efficiency KPIs.

Location: Hybrid (Berlin, Germany) — must be based in Berlin or ready to relocate; office attendance required 2 days a week

What you will do

  • Develop highly automated, near real-time data pipelines and software features to optimize public cloud, SaaS, and AI costs.
  • Build generative analytics and visualization solutions, including BI dashboards and automated insight extraction tools.
  • Implement AI/ML solutions for anomaly detection, forecasting, and identification of optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product personas and internal users to ensure high-quality data experiences and provide technical support.
  • Contribute to the evolution of data and software architecture, addressing non-functional requirements.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building quality data pipelines in the cloud using large datasets.
  • Strong language-agnostic coding skills and advanced SQL proficiency for high-performance ELT/ETL transformations.
  • Effective communication skills and a strong interest in business outcomes and internal customer needs.
  • Experience in data cleaning and a commitment to providing excellent user support.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience with FinOps (Cloud Financial Management).
